Noctro Music Festival


Noctro is an electric music genre festival. It is an event that takes place at night, and one of their principals is that they want their festival to be eco-friendly. All of the lights used for sets and around the park are powered by solar panels.

Challenge

Considering that one of the main attributes of the festival is that it happens at night, and it is electric themed, I wanted to incorporate these components into the logo. I wanted colors that represent the electric feeling, and I wanted there to be some sort of clever graphic feature.

Solution

I chose the vibrant purple and green in a gradient to represent the lights of the festival and how they brighten the area, they felt very electric. When thinking of the event, I thought about how the night could be represented by nocturnality. To show this, I incorporated the face of an owl, one of its characteristics being its ability to see in the dark, which also matches with the theme of the festival.
